Lightning strike: 16 people killed taking selfies at Jaipur in India

A lightning strike killed almost 16 persons and many more harmed at Jaipur in northern India on 11th July 2021.

Lightning strike in Indian's cities: 

The people were taking selfies in the downpour on the top of a watch tower in the city's 12th Century Amer Fort, a well known vacation destination point.


Similarly, more than 12 peoples have died due to lightning strikes in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh states.


According to the Source report, Lightning strikes kill around 2,000 people every year in India. A senior police person told the news update that a large number of people were younger who died in result of a lightning strike.


27 personnel were at the height and the mass of the fortress when the incident occurred and some supposedly bounded to the ground.
In other side, 9 people were dying due to lightning strikes on Sunday in the Rajasthan state where Jaipur is situated. Something like 41 people, including ladies and kids were supposedly dying in Uttar Pradesh state. The most elevated cost of 14 was recorded in Allahabad city.  


In Firozabad city, two people have died due to lightning strikes that were hiding themselves under the tree. Moreover, most people have killed by lightning strikes in other areas of the state.
Similarly, 7 died in Madhya Pradesh state. Specialists say loss numbers are high in the two states on the grounds that an enormous number of people work outside of cultivation and house construction.


The CM of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and PM, Modi have declared financial aid for the victims. India's rainstorm season, which sees immense rainstorm, commonly keeps going from June to September every year.


The representative of IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has said that due to environment emergency, a death rate of lightning strikes have increased in the country since the 1960s.
The representative highlight that according to the data analysis the incidence rate has increased about 30% to 40% since the mid-1990s. In year 2018, Andhra Pradesh state recorded 36,749 lightning strikes in only 13 hours. 100 people have died since June, 2020 due to lightning strikes.


Authorities say they are more normal in a state with more willowy tree cover, leaving persons incapable against being struck.
