Israel Targeted Syrian Airports

Damascus (News Update) The Ministry of Defense of the Arab country of Syria says that Israel carried out air strikes on the international airport of the capital Damascus and other places south of the capital, in which five soldiers were killed and financial losses were also incurred.

 

A statement from the ministry said that Syrian air defenses intercepted the attack and managed to shoot down most of the missiles. It was not immediately confirmed whether the airport's operations were affected by the attack or not.

According to our news correspondent, regional diplomatic and intelligence sources told news agency that Israel has targeted Syrian airports to stop the use of Tehran's air supply lines for delivering weapons to allies including Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon.
