Qatar changes travel guidelines for new corona
Country's 'Travel and Return Policy' Update Released
Doha (News Update) The
Gulf state of Qatar has changed its travel guidelines following the
introduction of a new type of Corona in the world. According to Doha News, no
case of the new Corona virus variant Omicron has been reported in Qatar so far,
but health officials on Monday raised concerns about the new mutations around
the world. According to the countries 'travel and return policy' update was
released.
The
new guidelines divide the green and red lists into groups A and B, group A
includes all Qatari citizens and residents who have been vaccinated by the
Ministry of Public Health inside or outside Qatar. Have been fully vaccinated
by or through those who have a conditionally approved vaccine, or who have
recovered from Corona within Doha and have undergone at least 14 days of
rehabilitation.
Passengers
from countries listed in green or red will be exempted from quarantine upon
arrival in Qatar on condition that they adhere to the test policy listed on the
ministry's official website. Home quarantine is essential for the day. People
from Red Listed countries will also be placed in the home quarantine for seven
days upon arrival.
GCC
citizens from Green List countries through vaccines approved by MoPH inside or
outside Qatar, or who have a conditionally approved vaccine, or who have
recovered from Corona within GCC countries 14 Days have passed, in case of
rehabilitation, provided a dose of approved vaccine is given, except
quarantine, however, those coming from Red Listed countries will be kept in
Hotel Quarantine for two days on arrival in Qatar.
As
far as GCC passengers are concerned, those who have not been fully vaccinated
or ineligible for the vaccine or who have not completed the required doses of
the vaccine will have to stay in hotel quarantine for seven days upon arrival
in Qatar, in Qatar. GCC citizens (non-residents) who come to live with first
degree relatives residing in Qatar are subject to home quarantine for seven
days upon arrival; provided they provide proof of relationship and national
address data.
Group
B lists the quarantine and test policy for Doha visitors with pre-approved and
on-arrival visas. They are absolved from isolation assuming they have been
immunized or have gotten one of the restrictively supported antibodies.
On
the other hand, travelers from both green and red countries who have not been
fully vaccinated or who have not completed the required dose of vaccine will be
subject to hotel quarantine for seven days upon arrival in the country
irrespective of age. Holders of family visas already issued to visit one of
their first-degree relatives residing in Qatar will be quarantined at home for
seven days, provided they provide proof of relationship and national address
data.
