Surah No. 39 “Az-Zumar” Verse No. 71

Translation:

And those who refuse to accept will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they come up with it (Hell), its gates will be opened and its keepers will ask for them, “Did Messengers not come to you from amongst yourselves who recited to you the Verses of your God and Presage you this Day’s appearance?”They (the prisoner of Hell) will say: ‘Yes, (Messengers came).’ But the command of anguish will have been carried out against the cynic.

Interpretation:

According to this verse, it is proved that those who disbelieve and deserve punishment, when they are pushed towards Hell, the gates of Hell will not be opened beforehand, but will be opened when the deserving polytheists arrive. Just as the door of burning is opened on the arrival of criminals and the doors are closed immediately after their entry.

سورۃنمبر 39، الزُّمَر، آیت نمبر 71

ترجمہ:

اور جو لوگ کفر کے مرتکب ہوئے ہیں وہ جہنم کیجانب گروہوں کی صورت میں ہانکے جائیں گے، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ اُس (جہنم) کے قریب پہنچیں گے تو اُس کے دروازوں کو کھول دیا جائے گا اور اس (دوزخ) کے داروغے اُن سے کہیں (سوال پُوچھیں) گے، " کیا تم لوگوں کے پاس تم (لوگوں) ہی میں سے رسول (پیغمبر) نہیں آئے تھے جنھوں نے تمھیں تمہارے رب (کریم) کی آیات پڑھ کر سنائیں تھیں اور تمہیں اس دن (روزِ قیامت) کی پیشی سے ڈرایا تھا؟؟ وہ (اہلِ دوزخ جواب دیں گے) کہیں گے، " ہاں آئے تھے" مگرمنکروں پر (اللہ تعالیٰ کا ) فرمانِ عذاب ثابت ہو چکا ہوگاo

تفسیر:

اس آیت کے مطابق یہ بات ثابت ہوتی ہے کہ جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور سزا کے مستحق ٹھہرے، انھیں جب دوزخ کی جانب دھکیلا جائے گا تو جہنم کے دروازے پہلے سے کھلے نہ ہوں گے بلکہ ان سزاوار مشرکوں کے پہنچنے پر کھولے جائیں گے، جیسا کہ مجرموں کی آمد پر ہی جیل کا دروازہ کھولا جاتا ہے اور ان کے داخلے کے فوراً بعد ہی دروازے بند کر دئیے جاتے ہیں ۔
